The Ultimate Email Marketing Strategy in 8 Steps

Email marketing was already old before social media marketing came of age. It's a testimony to the efficacy of this mode that this continues to be an important channel for millions of small businesses. Email marketing lists are considered priceless and businesses go to great lengths to develop and maintain them for two reasons: sales and more sales!

Here are 8 small Business E-mail Marketing Ideas that will drive qualified, In-The-Mood_To-Buy Traffic to a Company´s Website.

1. Make the sign-up process easy. Place a sign-up box high on the company's website and add a link to the email-marketing signup page on the organization's social media profiles. This can serve to drip feed a steady list of new prospects.

2. Grab the reader’s attention from the subject line. Start with a compelling proposition: a teaser, giveaway or discount. Try to hook readers from the beginning so they'll read till the end. Oh, and do this so the email isn't snagged by the spam filters.

3. Stay compliant. Stay on the right side of the email service providers. Use the good programs on the market and know the difference between a “hard bounce" (the message won't be delivered because of a problem with the email address) and a “soft bounce (the message hasn't been delivered yet but might be later on).

4. Develop the audience. What sources are generating the most responsive audience members, the kind who open, read and click on the links of newsletter? Work further on those sources to build the company's email newsletter list. Try a double opt-in process since it ensures that the subscriber truly wants to read the content and the newsletter will go to a working email address.

5. Use best practices. The most effective calls-to-action go above "the fold," the area of the message that shows up on a computer screen, without a user needing to scroll down. Also emails without a lot of images generate a higher return on investment. (And for yourself, only use programs where you can measure the outcome of the email marketing).

6. Be brief. Test and tweak until arriving at a satisfactory combination of format, structure and tone. Readers might just scan an email newsletter. Pack in words with special meaning and use subheadings.

7. Keep the communication going. Judiciously use automated replies. Auto-replies are time-savers, providing useful information, nudging readers toward downloads, reminding them about freebies -- all while generating information on subscriber behavior. Service providers range from MailChimp and aWeber to the more advanced and feature rich such as 1ShoppingCart and Infusionsoft. I personally use MailChimp but If i make the choice of an "e-mail marketing program" I do love 1ShoppingCart for its all-in-one customer-relationship-management, email and ecommerce solution provided with ample customer support.

8. Trial and Error... Check the analytics and continue with whats working and change if not. Trial and error is a fundamental method of solving problems. It is characterised by repeated, varied attempts which are continued until success, and you will get the best strategy for your Business.

Solutions for Challenges in Food Sales Online

In Sweden you can order food easy Online and there are many different providers to choose between. For consumers the Top 3 Reasons to shop food Online is because It's Easy, It's Timesaving and the Wide range of products to choose from, but there are still 55% who say that they are Not going to buy any food Online during next year.
Let's look at the challenges in the Industry and what the consumers thinks is a threshold to cross.
In the digital food trade report 2014 from Svensk Digital Handel we can read;
There are some areas that still are seen as challenges in the industry:
  • Inventory management and picking routines
  • Vending presentation
  • Deliveries
  • Delivery times
  • Returns
Moreover, part of the challenge for food sales on the consumer side:
  • Changing consumer behaviour
  • Breaking habits
  • Clamping and feel factor
  • Willingness to pay for delivery
So how can the Online Food Companies solve challenges?Inventory management and picking routines - Why does this not work?
  • Do the staff have the right education?
  • Does the company communicating their message out the right way?
  • Are everyone within the company on the same page?
  • Is there a strategy around this kind of routines?
My answer is - Provide everyone with what they need to do the best job or to feel confident with the products they are buying. Make the picking routines easy for the staff and show how you work to your customers, so that they know what they can expect.
  • Make a video for the staff on how to do it, use QR video codes on every different kind of products with instructions of how to pick the items together.
  • ...and why not Make a video for the webpage on how you are picking for example the vegetables and the other items for the customers, so that they know they will get the best in their delivery from you, they will never have to doubt. In this way you also reduce the "Clamping and feel factor" and leave the customers with the feeling that they not need to feel all the items, they gives you the trust to do it for them.
You can also work with videos on the intranet to
  • Release time
  • Improving communication
  • Improve knowledge of staff
  • Increased sense of community
Present the vending presentation with a video!
Why? Because,
  1. The customers experience more satisfaction after they have seen a video (than pictures and text)
  2. Customers feel more confident and are buying more items as well as more expensive items
  3. More satisfied customers reduces the stress on customer service and reduces the returns
Show the customers how the delivery works. Make a video about the persons who deliver the food... Who Is the persons who deliver the food - Show the importens of their work in the chain. Show Why you have the delivery times you have and what customers can do to make things work better for you. Team build with your customers. Make "video customer cases" to show families that your customers can identify themselves with.
You can also work with video on the website
  • Online marketing on the web and social media
  • SEO the web
  • Branding - Increase the feeling of the Brand
  • Engage visitors in a way you don't with text and pictures

Working with video will make a big difference for your business.

Wish to become a charismatic speaker?

Personally, I am attracted to individuals who know what they want and create the right conditions to fulfill their dreams ...
I love to read and improve my knowledge, I also love to share my experiences and spread the knowledge I have gained. I think it is important to lift other people and that people around me (my partner, kids, family, friends and colleagues) are proud of what they accomplish / achieve in life.
We are all different and different things give us different amounts of energy. I love to speak and I love to listen to great speakers. There is something very speciallt with some of them ... They fill me with a lovely infectious energy.
Have you ever heard a presentation and later realized how attracted you were to the presenter? No, not that kind of attraction. I mean that you felt connected and uplifted while you were listening. You came away feeling happier more energised and with a feeling that you wish to accomplish more. The speaker was so eloquent that you were touched in some way. Even if the presentation was about selling shoes! And yes, yes, yesss anyone who knows me privately also knows that I absolutely love and adore shoes, but you know what I mean...
That quality you experienced is called charisma. Webster defines charisma as “that special spiritual power or personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people.” A charismatic speaker leaves an impression on the audience, large or small, that makes them want to come back for more. It’s just what you want if you are trying to sell or influence a customer. Charisma is not just for selling; the best university professors are often charismatic speakers as well.
We associate charisma with preachers, like Billy Graham, old-time politicians, such as Winston Churchill or people like Anthony "Tony" Robbins who is an American life coach, self-help author and motivational speaker.
Could you become a charismatic speaker? I think the answer is yes! By breaking down charisma into 14 individual qualities (listed here in no particular order), you can attain each quality with a little time and practice:
  1. Charismatic speakers are self-confident and assured. They don’t appear nervous or ill at ease.
  2. Charismatic speakers seem to be enjoying themselves; they are playful, humoroushappy.
  3. Charismatic speakers are lively & energetic people.
  4. Charismatic speakers gives you energy and will leave you with a feeling that you want to accomplish something more. Their energy is contagious.
  5. Charismatic speakers are knowledgeable about their subject.
  6. Charismatic speakers look good, they have a stage presence.
  7. Charismatic speakers speak without stumbling, using full sentences and correct grammar, without “ers” and “uhs.”
  8. Charismatic speakers have an opinion about their subject. They care about it. You can sense their emotion, enthusiasm, and conviction.
  9. Charismatic speakers often live by the fact that shared knowledge is double joy.
  10. Charismatic speakers relate their topic to the broader scheme of things, they are expansive, inspiring, and uplifting.
  11. Charismatic speakers create a strong rapport with their audience, they connect.
  12. Charismatic speakers are positive in outlook, cheerful, and cooperative.
  13. Charismatic speakers are organized; their points are clearly connected and logically follow one another, with an overview at the beginning and a conclusion at the end. They are precise and complete.
  14. Charismatic speakers (genuine ones) are honest, well mannered, patient, fair, and responsible.
By developing these 14 qualities, you too can become a charismatic speaker. You can be that person that audiences feel attracted to and connected with, whose eloquence leaves people uplifted and enlivened. Work at it and you will succeed!

Your Image - We are what we think

A ‘personal brand’ is in many ways synonymous with your reputation. It refers to the way other people see you as a business owner or representative of an idea, organization, or activity.
Are you a genius? An expert? Are you trustworthy? What do you represent? What do you stand for? What ideas and notions pop up as soon as someone hears your name? Are you the person everyone want to have in their network?

Work On Your Image It will help you now and even more in the future. But make your Image You! Don't ever be fake, Such things as a fake image shining through and will hurt you more than do good.
Stop reaching for any and every bit of publicity. Yes, there is such a thing as bad publicity. Yes, sometimes bad situations can make you come out looking stronger, but a lot of the time it will end in a ruined reputation. You want people to take you seriously and you want to have a clean reputation.
Decide and lay out your core values. How would you like potential customers and clients to think of you? Because your personal brand is built from the thoughts and words and reactions of other people, it’s shaped by how you present yourself publicly. This is something that you have control over.
Become the best. If you want to sell an expensive course in watercolor painting you’ll need to be seen as someone with the authority to teach others on the topic. If you want to get work for high-end design clients you’ll need to be seen as a runaway talent with a professional attitude. Every good brand involves the notion of expertise.

Continue learning and updating your knowledge, especially if your expertise is based around the online world. The web changes drastically from month to month. If you were an ‘expert’ two years ago but have since stopped learning and challenging yourself, you’re not an expert anymore. Never forget that.
Market your personality. Personal branding is basically selling someone your personality. You need to think hard about HOW you act. You should have a clearly identifiable personality so that people can easily feel like they know you personally, even if they've never met you. Your style of delivery should be as unique as any other aspect of your personal brand.

The Power Of You and Your Personal Brand

Have you ever thought of yourself as a brand? If not Maybe you should. A great brand creates better value and people/businesses is likely to pay a little more.

That means that if You create a Personal Brand that is Attractive, you will also be able to charge a higher salary for what you do or climb faster to the top, in your career etc.

Who do you want to be? Do you wish to be something BIG? Be yourself, just simply Be Who You Are! Before you start to work on your personal brand, think about Who Do You Think You Are, The best way is to be yourself! Success without fulfilment is failure. I Like to listen to Anthony Robbins. Here is one of his videos and you can always find more of them on Youtube if you like them to.

Promote Yourself!

Have a website. Everyone has a website now. It's an important part of getting taken seriously in the business and general work world. Make a website that functions as a sort of long-form resume, showcasing what you're about and all of the cool things you've done. You don't need to be a pro and making websites either, in order to get a nice one. You can find not too expensive ones easy to make at https://www.one.com/en/ for example.
Be present and active on social media. Social media (Twitter, Blogs etc) is crucial in terms of giving people the ability to feel like they know you. Keep your personal social media accounts under a slightly different name (your first and middle, for example) and attach your real name to public social media accounts. These will come up when employers or contractors look you up, so make sure the content and ideas that you post are relevant and good.
Don't forget your LinkedIn. This is the Place on the web where you get headhunted and have the possibility to ending up living your dream when It comes to your business part of life. Show who you are, and promote yourself! When working on your LinkedIn page, make sure it gives the same impression that you will give in a meeting face to face. Its nothing worse for a recruiter or a HR Manager at
Get a unique business card. Business cards can still be very useful, even in this digital age. But you need to have one that stands out. Get a professional, unique looking business card. Many sites sell these online and even offer customization services. These are not as expensive as you'd think! Make yourself a card that no one will forget! Maybe a QR code on the back with a video of you.
Get a great head shot. You want people to be able to picture you and feel like they really know you as they read about you. Don't look like some second-rate wanna-be with a blurry picture of you on your last vacation (complete with sunburn and embarrassing shirt).
Put a lot of work into how you look. When we put a lot of work into how we look, we tell people two things. First, we tell them that we believe in taking this professional effort seriously. Second, we tell them that we believe they are worth making an effort for or that they're worth impressing. This shows respect. Between the two, you make people much more willing to take you seriously. Dress like you mean business for your industry, wear clothes that fit and compliment your body, and work on getting nice skin and a flattering hairstyle.
Get a good bio written. This will probably mean hiring a professional to write it for you. When we write about ourselves at any length, we tend to write about what's important to us, rather than what's really interesting or valuable to someone else. This is why it's a good idea to get a helping hand. How your bio reads will depend on the nature of your industry and your particular "brand", but a little humor and a smidgen of humility are usually valuable assets to a bio.
Within a week I will write the next part of "Your Personal Brand"

Get your QueenPower together for Great Success 2015

I love success, I love to develop and I love to inspire others to get what they want, to fulfill their dreams. If you’re reading this, you’re a person looking to achieve growth.

It’s so nice to tweak the way your clients experience your "savvy". Think about establishing who you are - Your personal brand. Embrace these ideas to change the way you become connected with your inner strength as a businesswoman.
Explore your greatest sense of newness to revisit your role as a leader - consistently. Without renewing your insight, how can you truly get ahead to inspire others? Unite with your personal brand and rediscover these behaviors to make all the difference in your 2015 year.
Exercise and take care of your body. Find ways to relax and keep yourself calm. Invest in great training. a great work out a couple of times a week. I’ve done this and it has dramatically changed the way I execute my business strategies. No longer do I get upset if a deal doesn’t go through. I won’t get excited if a client is unruly or a meeting goes awry. I take each obstacle in stride and realize that everything is taking place in divine order. When you take care of your body, mind and soul, you become at peace and stable, more often than you may realize in your life. For this I love SATS
Think Upscale, nice and Posh. Every woman loves the feeling of cashmere. So why not think the same of your business practices? If you find yourself throwing things together last minute, I would consider the analogy of wearing a cheap alternative to cashmere. After the first wash, you leave it in the back of your closet. It doesn’t “wow” you anymore because it was always “half there”; the cheaper alternative. When preparing presentations, meeting with others and thinking about your daily responsibilities, do it with quality. Be the cashmere! When you are quality, what you say and what you do will ALWAYS be in the forefront of the minds of your connections, and value will be your label.
Smile and Play Nice. I can’t think of how many times I’ve had to deal with not too nice people. They come out far too often in business. The best way to utilise that kind of a person or a sour personality is to treat them with loving kindness. It may not be their fault that they’re mean or rude. They may be having a bad day. If you find yourself dealing with a wet mop attitude, keep all conversations positive and extra loving. When this happens, you will become a light for them, even if you have to shake it off after you get off the phone or out of a meeting. Be nice as honey... and you will be happier for it. It's not easy but Trust me!
Give. We are living in a world where as soon as you put an idea out there, someone will replicate it and use it for their own behalf or twist it a bit to make it as they want it. My best advice is to be the innovator. Don't be afraid to Give and Shine with what you know. Be the one who thinks ahead. This can make you the cutting edge queen the Power Queen at the company. As soon as you have your idea and truly want to follow through, don’t sit on it - Share it!. Others may and will copy. And when they do, take a smiling bow. Imitation is the best form of flattery, I think!
Create a Powerful Network. Surround Yourself with Powerful Players. One of the key roles in being a female leader is to keep nice friends around that can empower you and enrich you. When you align with high ranking top players that believe in you, you not only secure yourself a close knit relationship with those that can show you the way, but you’re also putting yourself in the same circles with people who can help you grow personally and professionally. Find influentials and make their acquaintance now. They will give you the peace of mind that you need to consistently be in the lead. Don't forget to use Soc. media as well.
Use your Creativity - Do Something New, Often. And by often, I mean, seriously doing something new all the time. If you’re not changing up the way you talk to your customers or engage in communication, you are leaving yourself in a place of stagnance. Don't bore yourself and your clients. Think! Keep thinking! Keep it going and make it fun for yourself to do something new at all times. This will be the key to your own sanity and will in turn, enlighten your audience. So what do I do? I publish information of how to do things, or benefits of things, or other information that can be useful for people or companies around me.
Trust Yourself. When you feel that something isn’t working, whether its a business relationship or a new program, act on it, or communicate your feelings right away. Your feelings are direct indicators of what’s really going on inside of your heart. If your gut tells you to stop speaking to a colleague because it seems like a bad idea, or to stop venturing towards a direction in business, it’s most likely the right feeling. If you keep going towards this direction without trusting your gut, you risk the chance of learning a harder lesson down the line.
And we all know that hard lessons are the worst. They keep you up at night and they creep up on you when you least expect it (and they give you frown lines.) Instead of allowing this to happen, trust your instincts in big ways and keep your inner feeling radar on at all times. Then immediately communicate what you feel to figure it out before it’s too late. And if you already got frown lines, visit MacKey Clinic and they will help you!
Inspire, Involve, Empower and be the cooler version of You. Each and every day you should be your best authentic self. Consider why your customers, your employees or team wish to be around you. They could go elsewhere, couldn’t they? Why do they or should they remain loyal to you? What can you do to involve them in your dreams, passions and visions? Happy people talk, and those who are content, remain loyal.
Word of mouth lies within your ability to evoke positive feelings amongst your surrounding peeps. Ok, so you have a bad day or bad mood or something is not going your way. Breathe! Do not take it out on everyone (too many people are doing this already). Go take a walk or sit and meditate for a moment or two. Always let your inner light shine through. When that happens, you’ll continue to inspire and empower others, try and you will find that I'm right.
Now, look at how awesome your personal brand can be when you remember these fine details of living the best life you can, in business and in your personal dreams and goals.
If you feel you need help on the way... If you feel that It would be nice with some keys to the doors you wish to open in your life (and you speak Swedish) you should visit "Balansekonomi" and attend one of their workshops or courses.
They are Great and You would Love It! Be happy, be YOU and be the best version of You. Happy New Year, power women. I salute you! ...and Keep dreaming!
